Welcome to THEME online!

With the inauguration of this new website we are hoping to make the information that you want and need more readily accessible to you, our faithful patrons. Yeah for the internet!

The purpose of THEME has always been four-fold and this pattern won’t change:

1) To provide reports on music and gospel arts events from across our Territory, and reports on international music/gospel arts events that affect the Territory of Canada and Bermuda,

2) To provide information on upcoming music/gospel arts events such as our Territorial School of Music and the Christmas with The Salvation Army concerts,

3) To provide information on practical resources including CDs, print music, books and websites that will assist music and arts leaders in their ministry, and

4) To provide thought-provoking, inspirational and practical articles to assist music and arts leaders in ministry.

What will make this website work is input from you directly. The advantage of the internet is that it can be very interactive, and can include video and sound clips that are not available in print forms.

So we need to hear from you! If there is a music and gospel event happening in your area that you would like to advertise or report on, please do not hesitate to contact me! Please do provide feedback, either directly on the website or via E-mail to let us know what you would like to see on the website and what your needs are.

To this end, we will be hosting a forum where conductors, band enthusiasts, vocalists, contemporary enthusiasts and other artists can hook up with each other and share practical information to enhance your ministry. We also would like to profile you, our readers, to begin to paint a picture of what worship looks like in the church and community where you live.

At THEMEonline.ca we will pose a’ question of the week’ that can stimulate your thinking and encourage you to provide feedback to us that will practically assist us in providing information to you in the future.

THEMEonline is for you: It is an opportunity to share your story and your thoughts to the world at large. It is an opportunity to hook up with like-minded artists and be part of a broader community that can share your successes and frustrations, and support you through them. This is your forum - take advantage of us! We are interested and want to connect with you!

And I personally look forward to meeting each one of you through this new online format.

Here’s to the future of worship arts ministry in The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory! From my vantage, it’s looking pretty good!
